The Doctoral School Symposium is organized every year with the help of the doctoral students' association, HippoThèse. Participation in these days is recommended for all 2nd or 3rd year PhD students, whatever their speciality, and is validated as a module of the PhD curriculum.
PhD students must present a poster in English. An oral presentation is possible and subject to the agreement of the organizing committee. Participation is by registration. All documents related to this event are sent to the PhD students 3 months in advance and by e-mail.
An Organizing Committee, made up of first-year volunteer doctoral students, selects the themes of the presentations and organizes the oral communication sessions. In parallel, the ED helps with the organization.
The Symposium is also the occasion for a survey to identify new needs and/or difficulties. Through this activity, doctoral students can take a step back from their thesis work but also seize opportunities for future meetings.
It takes place alternately on the different sites of Aix Marseille University.
Finally, prizes are awarded at the end of these days. Prizes are awarded in two categories: poster presentations and oral presentations.
The registration to the symposium is done directly via the ADUM profile.
